Her recent death during the blockade of the city resulted in the installment of martial law. In accordance with the pasha’s will, her possessions were left to friends and family, but most to her only son. The estate manager was quick to notify Fitzwillaim of his mother’s passing and his newly acquired wealth, to which the son was quick to reply with a request for the immediate transport of the items of great interest.
